Asics Hyper Rocketgirl XCS 2012

These shoes are designed for first time or entry-level cross country female runners who are looking for a shoe that could provide perfect fit, durability and traction on a variety of surfaces.

This shoe features lightweight mesh material on the upper which should provide breathability and comfort. This also utilizes board lasting in the rear foot and traditional strobel lasting in the forefoot. Synthetic overlays are as well placed so it would hug the foot for perfect fit. And since this is designed for women, this shoe is done in Women’s Specific Fit to meet, of course, the requirements of women athlete.

This then has SpEVA full length midsole for increased energy return plus it’s also equipped with Trusstic System, which is a thermal plastic midfoot unit that provides natural foot movement and increased torsional rigidity.

Completing this shoe is the full length solid rubber spikeless outsole for enhanced durability and traction on a variety of surfaces.

You can get this from Running Warehouse for $58.50.

Lighter, Comfier, Fresher Nike Zoom Waffle XC 10

Thursday, August 30, 2012

Want an upgrade to your old Nike Zoom Waffle XC shoes? Check out the Nike Zoom Waffle XC 10, which is available in three colors and in spikeless version.

Nike Zoom Waffle XC 10 Spikes in Black/Blue/Silver, $60

Compared to its predecessor, this updated shoe provides a more secured fit. Additionally, this shoe has lighter open mesh material with water drainage capabilities that could keep your feet dry and thus, healthier and more comfortable.

This shoe is actually for 3k to 10k running and it’s designed to work smoothly on any surfaces whether rubber or grass. This is made from thin hydrophobic mesh material that offers breathability and as said, optimal water shedding benefits. This also has microfiber synthetic overlays at the midfoot and forefoot for an all the more secured fit as the overlays lock the foot down.

This Nike Zoom Waffle XC 10 then has compression-molded full-length Flashlon midsole that provides lightweight and responsive ride. Its molded medial arch adds optimal midfoot support while still maintaining its lightweight design.

Completing this shoe is the classic Waffle carbon outsole with six spikes at the forefoot for traction and increased durability.

Here are its other color versions, which show graphic applique:

Nike Zoom Waffle XC 10 Spikes in Blue/Crimson, $60

Nike Zoom Waffle XC 10 Spikes Red/Volt/Black, $60

Spikeless versions of these Nike Zoom Waffle XC 10 shoes are also available from Running Warehouse in similar color renditions for $50 each.

Lighter & Comfier Asics Japan Thunder 4

Friday, August 24, 2012

We’ve featured the Asics Japan Thunder 3 July last year; and today, we’re showing you the Asics Japan Thunder 4, which is obviously the successor.

Asics Japan Thunder 4

For me this successor is more breathable and comfortable. I also find its design much more wearable and stylish compared to its predecessor, which shows red color, since this is more minimal. As you can see, this even has zebra-like prints for added style.

By the way, these elite-level spikes are designed for 800m to10,000m distance running events.

Indeed, this shoe has a low profile and minimal upper construction that features Ecsaine and open mesh materials, which create glove-like fit and offer maximum breathability.

This also has asymmetrical lacing design system, which follows the contour of the foot for improved comfort and fit. As usual, Asics logo is present on both sides of this shoe and it’s both done in gold-tone.

This then has Ecsaine collar lining as well which is a soft suede-like material that lets you wear this shoe even without socks.

Now instead of “Japan,” another Asics logo can be spotted at the heel.

This shoe is done in slip lasted construction, by the way, which provides increased flexibility and decreased weight.

This is then equipped with full length Solyte midsole, which is believed to be lighter than the standard EVA and SpEVA midsoles. This also offers cushioning, responsiveness and durability needed for distance running.

This then has SharkDuo outsole on the heel which provides increased optimal traction on various surfaces. Along with this is the five-spiked decoupled Pebax® spike plate at the forefoot which minimizes weight and maximizes flexibility.

These Asics Japan Thunder 4 shoes are priced at $79.88 from Running Warehouse but it’s now on sale from Footlocker for $69.99.

Update! Asics Hyper LD 4 Shoes

Tuesday, August 21, 2012

For the first time athletes who are into distance racing events, these Asics Hyper LD 4 Shoes are a must have.

Asics Hyper LD 4

I was actually wondering why we haven’t seen any Asics Hyper LD 2 and LD 3 yet and then suddenly there’s this Asics Hyper LD 4, which comes as the successor to the Asics Hyper LD.

But anyway, these new shoes are sure to accompany distance runners, particularly long distance runners who run from 800m to 10,000m, and take ‘em as far as they would want to run.

This features an open mesh upper with synthetic leather overlays for lightweight support during approach. This also provides comfort and breathability and as well as enhanced performance and fit.

It’s also done in slip lasting construction whereas the upper is wrapped and stitched in a bootie-like shape before it’s glued to the midsole for increased flexibility and decreased weight.

This actually has a full-length EVA midsole that adds increased cushioning and protection. Completing this is the Nylon Spike Plate with 5-spike configuration that offers more durability and traction on all surfaces.

Get these Asics Hyper LD 4 from Online Shoes for $59.95.
