As the predecessor of the Asics Japan Thunder, the Asics Japan Thunder 3 track and field shoe is an ounce lighter. It also has a new low profile, spike plate and a mesh upper for better performance.

Featuring an open mesh upper with lightweight Ecsaine material, this shoe offers a glove-like fit along with maximum breathability. There are also perforations along the toe for a cooler and therefore a healthier foot environment. This also has an asymmetrical lacing design for an improved comfort and fit.

This shoe is also equipped with full length Solyte midsole that’s lighter than Asics standard EVA and SpEVA midsoles for superior responsiveness and durability. Under this shoe is a full length Pebax Shark Duo spike plate with five removable and replaceable pins for running efficiency and superior traction on various track surfaces.
