Meet Nike’s Latest Running Shoe: The Nike Lunarspider R3

Monday, April 30, 2012

Just recently, we showed you the Nike Lunarspider R2; today, we’re showing you the Nike LunarSpider R3, which is indeed Nike’s latest running shoe.

Nike Lunarspider R3 Shoes

I bet you noticed the difference of these shoes to the the Lunarspider R2 fast. Well as you can see, these Nike Lunarspider R3 shoes have Flywire thread for structural support around the midfoot area. The Lunarspider R2 eliminated the use of the Flywire technology and instead made use of the Puff Screen for support.

So anyway, the Lunarspider R3 also features single layer mesh material for lightweight breathability. These are, by the way, designed for 5k to 10k running events.

Since this is a Lunarspider shoe, these shoes are as well equipped with Lunarlon cushioning system. BRS 1000 rubber, Duralon, and DSP are also said to be strategically placed for durability and added cushioning.

It’s said that these Nike Lunarspider R3 shoes will be released on in July but there are also reports that this will hit Nike retailers Holiday 2012. Anyway, its price tag will be about $125.

Horizontal Jumpers, Pole Vaulters, Triple Jumpers Meet The Asics Cyber Jump London Track Shoe

Wednesday, April 11, 2012

If there’s a Hi-Jump shoes for the left foot high jumpers, Asics has also built a pair of shoes intended for horizontal jumpers, pole vaulters and even triple jump athletes. Check out the Asics Cyber Jump London Track Shoes.

This is designed for optimized energy return from the jumping surface so jumpers and pole vaulters will definitely find the performance of these shoes more than enough to make them win.

These shoes are made from synthetic material that offers lightweight support during approach and foot plant. Its board lasting construction got the upper glued to a thin fiber board, which is then cemented to the midsole.

Additionally, this shoe has mono-sock Fit system, which is an elastic internal sleeve that replaces the usual tongue to provide a sock-like fit. This is also equipped with full length SpEVA midsole, which is also Asics’ mid-level midsole that offers increased energy return.

Under this shoe is the textured rubber Shark Duo outsole for grip on various surfaces and 3/4 length polymer spike plate for increased energy transfer. This also houses the shoes’ 9-spike configuration for superior traction.

Endless is offering these Asics Cyber Jump track shoes for $120.

Asics Cyber Throw London Track Spike

Thursday, April 5, 2012

We’ve already featured the Asics Cyber Hi-Jump London and the Asics Cyber Javelin London a few months back; and now, we’re going to show you the Asics Cyber Throw London.

Asics Cyber Throw London Track Spike

This new shoe is a far cry from the Asics Cyber Throw Beijing, which came out in the market last year, based on design. Feature-wise though, these Cyber Throw London shoes do not have much difference compared to its predecessor.

This shoe is designed for the elite athletes who are into shot put, discus and hammer throw events. This has a semi-curved shape and it features synthetic upper that’s lightweight and abrasion and tear-resistant.

Instead of just having a strap and lace-up closure like the Cyber Throw Beijing, the Cyber Throw London features a zipper fastening and as well as a hook and loop closure that provides glove-like fit. This even opens up to a lace-up fastening system so these shoes will definitely provide perfect, customized fit.

As you can see, this shoe features centrifugal flex grooves on the solid rubber outsole to improve flexibility and rotation for spin throw technique; plus, there’s also dual-density pivot design for advanced throwers.

This also has SpEVA midsole for shock absorption, and there’s also TacLiner collar lining that helps stabilize the foot.

You can get these Asics Cyber Throw London Track Spikes at Endless for $120, at Amazon for $116.82-$120, and at Online Shoes for $119.95.
